Plans & Getting Started
No. Every plan is a one-time, fixed-price pass for a set amount of time: a day, a week, a month, a year, or forever with Lifetime. There's no recurring billing and nothing to cancel. Buying a new pass while one is still active stacks the new time on top of what's left.
Your projects stay on your account for a 7-day grace period after your pass ends, so reactivating picks up exactly where you left off. You can export your manuscript at any point while your pass is active, so your work is never trapped in LiberScript.
Yes. Every plan supports unlimited collaborators on a project, so you can invite a co-author, editor, or beta reader to review and work in the same manuscript with you.
Writing, Import & Export
You can import DOCX, EPUB, PDF, Markdown, and plain text — LiberScript detects chapters automatically, and preserves bold, italic, and other formatting from the original file rather than flattening it to plain text. For export, every plan supports EPUB, a paginated print PDF sized to your trim, and a clean DOCX.
Yes. Insert a footnote anywhere in your text with a citation form (type, author, title, source, publisher, year, link), and LiberScript numbers them automatically across the whole book. Add a Bibliography section and it's generated for you from every footnote you've used — rename it "References" or "Works Consulted" if you prefer, the list itself stays automatic either way.
Yes — every change in the Design tab saves automatically as you make it, the same way your chapter text does. There's a "Saving…/Saved" indicator so you always know it's stuck.
AI Assist & Cover Studio
The editor, structural critique, design, and export tools all work fully with no AI key at all. AI Assist (outline generation, drafting, rewriting) can run on a personal key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or OpenRouter, or on a small number of free generations we provide before a key or credits are needed.
Both are being rolled out gradually while we refine them, so they aren't turned on for every account yet. If you'd like early access to either, let us know.
Book Services
Yes. Alongside the self-serve toolkit, LiberScript offers ghostwriting, developmental editing, copyediting, manuscript formatting, cover design, and KDP metadata as done-for-you services, delivered by our team, priced and ordered separately from your pass.
Yes — Author Website and Author Portfolio / Media Kit are available as standing author-branding services, separate from any single book, for authors who want a professional online presence built for them.
Revisions within the scope you confirmed at order time are included at no extra cost — tell us specifically what's off and we'll fix it. See the Refund Policy for when a refund applies instead.
Billing
